[ none sounds like a poorly thought out idea; even saw had rules for jyn -- specifically so she wouldn't maim or murder the grown adult men she was fighting. but if illya wants to erase the rules, that is his prerogative.
she doesn't wait for a second invitation, sprinting across the room at him, leaping up and over the coffee table and using the new height to jump, romantically, into his arms. her legs tangle around his waist and she uses the momentum and her own weight to swing down and away from him and hurl him toward the floor.
her legs unwind before he hits the ground, falling away from him and rolling back to her feet, crouched with one hand on the floor. ]
( if illya's expecting anything, he's expecting her to punch him, not pull out some kind of acrobatic nonsense. so, he's caught off guard which isn't easy to do. he stumbles, hitting the floor with a thump and smacking into one of their chairs.
he's back up on his feet quickly enough though and then he's lunging for her, swinging a right hand towards her chin. )
[ jyn fights like a wrecking ball, a star destroyer coming head on and the only option is to move or get demolished. she knows how to protect herself, saw had taught her that from the get go, but she'd always favored taking her licks to get in position for something of her own.
illya's fist connects with her jaw with a crunch that makes her teeth rattle, but she ignores the way her vision briefly blurs in order to pummel her fists into his gut and sides, using her momentum to push past him and out of range again. both of them are too aggressive to dance around the other, it's two trains colliding on the same track. ]
( this poor living room isn't going to stand up to this. illya lets her back away but he doesn't stay back for long before pushing forward and trying to use his reach to grab her and toss her over his shoulder and onto the ground.
[ the wind rushes out of jyn but it doesn't slow her down, even if she looks queasy as she rolls to her knees and then her feet. she refuses to let illya take her down that quickly and launches herself at him before she can really get her breath back.
maybe there is too much pent up frustration between them, maybe too much pent up emotion in both of them in general, but the fight is vicious. neither of them are made to pull punches and what jyn lacks in illya's bulk, she makes up for by throwing her weight behind every punch, every kick, every elbow, knee, shoulder. her whole body is a weapon.
it's too bad they don't fight each other in the rings because this would be quite a show; both of them fight like they have to win to survive.
eventually and perhaps luckily, the coffee table becomes a casualty, shattering under the weight of two humans throwing themselves at each other and crashing down atop the glass and metal table. jyn rolls over, groaning as glass digs into her back. maybe it was the sound of the glass breaking or having the wind knocked out of her again or maybe she'd gotten what she wanted out of this fight, some kind of catharsis, but it was something.
her hand lifts between them, bruised and a little bloody. ] Truce?
[ daisy and cassian are going to be Annoyed with them so maybe a united front is better than a divided one. ]
[ SO THERE. SHE IS THE BIGGER PERSON. for fuck's sake, jyn erso, let it go. her nose wrinkles and she pushes out a sigh, admitting with some reluctance: ]

( or had she gotten that out of her system. )
I made a mistake, I acknowledged it and you have taken your revenge. I should be asking you if it is a truce.
