Cassian and I used to trade off which one of us would speak to him on the network and that doesn't seem necessary any longer.

Enormous slug species, generally considered the scum of the galaxy. Very disgusting and slimy. I think Cassian might have met one.

I am not saying we're awful like that. Hutt's arse is a generally accepted insult in our galaxy.

Cassian is an idealist, I am not. I'm sure he sees it in a different light.

But he's my partner, so there must be something to it.

Then it isn't surprising that he'd get along with Akechi.

And if I had to choose from the Displaced who to be outside the simulation with us again, I would choose Akechi.

[ kid is useful in a pinch, that's for sure. ]

[ is that something nice about his boyfriend? while Akechi is showing his ruthless side? well, he's a little proud. it's nice to know there are people who will stick by him. ]

He knows what he's doing, and he's good at thinking on the spot.

If I got hurt, he'd kick my ass himself.
It's part of what makes him resourceful.

[ jyn has literally threatened cassian with that exact concept ]

At the very least it made him determined.

[ there are sharp little fangs on Akechi's heart, ready to snap at any perceived threat. Ren's become used to it, or maybe it's never bothered him. Akechi cares ... just not in the way that's generally expected. at least Jyn has seemed to catch on to that, he knows how off-putting it can be at times. ]

It's a little more than that.
There was an injustice, and he knew that, too.
