[ her hands dance across his skin, lulling him even further into the easiness. he smiles, wanting nothing more than to just sink in and lay here for a long while, tucked into her arms. he's so relaxed, and he can't quite tell which happiness is hers and which is his, it's blurred together. they are a mishmash of satisfaction and tranquility. it's a wholly new feeling, and he welcomes it. ]

it took her ages to look pretty for the gala and even then illya had done most of the work dressing her.

Again like... [ her fingers trace down his spine again but this time with purpose, hands coming to rest on his ass, proprietary. if it serves to press his hips down into hers, a little shiver running through her at the feeling. ]

[ he laughs again, a tired, happy, lazy sound when she feels up his ass. he shivers almost in unison with her, but he is unfortunately but a man and time is not on his side. ]

Can we just lay here first? For a little bit? [ it's a question meant to sound casual, but jyn can probably pick up the uncertainty in it, the hesitance. she can probably feel it too. part of him is still worried he could be denied it. that it's all still too good to be true. ]
[ they can lay there for however long cassian wants. maybe not on top of her though, so she gently tips him off of her and pushes him on his back so she can curl up against his side. she rests her head against his chest, fingers splayed against his ribs. ]
I want take away for dinner. Noodles, the spicy ones.
[ the ones that make her eyes water and her mouth numb, which probably aren't super spicy, just spicy enough that her poor body thinks it's an inferno. ]
[ he slides out and off of her easily, immediately curling his arms around her when she wriggles in beside him. it's warm, it's safe, it's wild to be existing with her this way. he ducks in, kissing the top of her head. ]
We can order in. Delivery. Maximize our time in bed.
[ cassian can still feel so much from her, they're too tangled and wound up. but he finds he still likes it too. he doesn't feel exposed, because jyn already knows all the best and worst things about him. there's nothing to hide from her anymore. ]

[ it's nice; the heat from cassian keeping her warm even while the glistening sweat on her skin cools, everything feels soft and warm, zero thoughts in her head. it's almost like a concussion.
jyn makes a mental note to not compare the afterglow of sex to a concussion aloud.
