Soon enough. You finished what my parents started. [ she's clearly hit a point where sleep is more likely than not, but she fights it every step of the way. ] Papa would be proud of you, too.

I'm glad to hear that. [ He's just...going to keep his voice quiet. Cassian knows better than to push, with sleeping. It'll happen eventually. ]

[realists]

[ she continues in the same sleepy voice. ] Your papa, too. You saved the galaxy. [ or he will, they will, someone will with those plans. ]

[ Cassian takes in a breath. There's a gutpunch. ] We did. All of us. [ Oh but he hopes it works out that way. ]

You should sleep. [ pot meet kettle. ]

Will you use it as an excuse to stay awake and watch me? [ Cassian has argued with Kay about sleeping, he'll argue with you too. ]

[ oh no jyn is far more manipulative ]

I'll sleep if you sleep.

[ Cassian gives her a look. ] Promise?

[ she pauses, deciding. ] I promise.

[ Nodding, Cassian lets out a slow breath before wrapping his arms around her again. This time, instead of spooning, they're face to face and he doesn't mind either in the least.

It'll take him a little bit to fall asleep, but he does manage eventually. ]

[ jyn probably falls asleep before him, honestly, safe and warm and secure. exactly where she wants to be. ]
