excellent choices. Vonnegut and Poe are two of my favorites. Read Cask of Amontillado while you've got the anthology

Not really, though I guess a case could be made for Poe's writing. People did some weird shit back there, and the guilt of murder could probably cause someone to hear things.

Basically, it's this story about a kid with superpowers, lives with his aunt and uncle. Basically the way it's written, the uncle dying by a gunshot shows the kid that "with great power comes great responsibility".
