[Taako is waiting patiently (sort of) on the front steps, hopping to his feet with a grin once Jyn arrives. He waves at the cat, because cats understand that sort of thing obviously, and then immediately holds out a small but sturdy looking flashlight.]

jyn takes the small tool and looks at it askance. she has a torch upstairs, she has three, she doesn't need another one and she certainly doesn't need instructions on how she's meant to use it. still, she jerks her hand out and flips the switch and suddenly the trash bin is thrown back a few feet with a dent in the metal side and a handful of trash spilling out across the ground.
